Making of Stay Real
7 Momtographers Reveal The Stories Behind Their Most Emotional Dad And Baby Pictures
"This is a photo of my husband with my daughter, Klara, who was four months old at the time. She was just starting to discover the world around her; staring at everything and everyone with her big eyes and mouth wide open. She's 20 months old now, but sometimes she still looks at her father in the same excited way, as if she's seeing him for the first time all over again."

"Looking at this photo brings me back to my own childhood and relationship with my dad. After all, there's nothing more precious than the love between a daddy and his baby girl. This was taken as one of the last images of my client's family shoot. We found a small patch of poppies, so I just stayed back at a distance and watched this baby girl naturally interacting with her father. The results, as you can see, were pure magic."

"The photo is of my almost five-year-old son that shows the very special bond he has with his Godfather. Every time they meet, he is so excited. But the first time he brought his grandfather's 100-year-old violin, my son was simply overjoyed. Whenever I look at it, it reminds me of the importance of spending as much time with our children as possible. It also inspires me to keep working so I can show him more of the exciting things the world has to offer."

"My husband and I went for a walk on a beautiful day in Hungary when I saw him suddenly hold up my daughter in the air. I'm so glad that I saw that moment and pressed the shutter release. It was so real. Just looking at it, I can hear her three-month-old gorgeous giggle."

"Every summer my husband, daughter, and I venture to West Cork, Ireland to visit his family. On this particular day, I had just finished helping out with some farm work when we decided to take a walk through the fields, down to a rocky area along the Irish coast. My husband was sitting on the rocks looking out at the sea, when all of a sudden my daughter came out of nowhere and gave him the biggest hug. I am so glad I was ready with my camera to freeze this moment in time. I must've captured a thousand memories that summer, but the unexpectedness of this one makes it my most treasured image yet."

"This is a photo of my husband and the youngest of our five daughters, and the intention is to capture security and protection. The event was not epic by any means, but that's what makes it so special. I came down one morning and saw my husband looking out the window just holding our little one. As I look at it, the picture carries with it so much of who my husband is as a father and his gentle, protective love of our children."

"Here, the daddy is feeding his little daughter in a monastery. While the young family was viewing it, the dad noticed that his baby was becoming restless and took her to one of the halls to sit down and feed her away from everyone else. I couldn't help but stop and capture this beautiful moment.
